The Oklahome State Roundup Club Association is a familty oriented organization made up of people
who enjoy riding horses for fun, and in competition. We also have members who do not ride,
but enjoy watching others ride, and just being around a friendly group of people. So whether you have a horse, or not
you are welcome to join our association.
Membership is made up of organized roundup or riding clubs. The yearly msmbership fee is $50 per club. Once
a club joins, then the members of the club are members of the Oklahoma State Roundup Club Association (OSRCA).
For members to qualify to run at the finals in September they must run at least one event in four different playdays
at their home arena. State finals is a two-day event for two consecutive week ends - weather permitting. A schedule
of activities is listed below.
This year we are not having district finals because some of our members travel a long distance and gas prices have gone
up. In place of district awards the Board of Directors voted to increase the awards for state finals by five in each
class.
In November we have an Awards Banquet. State awards and prizes will be given to the top twenty in the youth classes,
and the top fifteen in the adult classes. Last year we spent over $11,000.00 on our awards.
If you have questions, or would like more information about the Oklahoma State Roundup Club Association, call Maxine
at (405) 567-3430, or one of the other state officers listed below. A state officer would be happy to visit your
club and tell your about the OSRCA, if you let us know when you are having a meeting.
